Dr. Terell has served as CEO of several companies, including Eventus WholeHealth, LLC., a company focused on providing holistic care to medically vulnerable adults and Cornerstone Health Care, one of the first medical groups to make the “move to value” by lowering the cost of care and improving its quality for the sickest, most vulnerable patients.
Dr. Terrell was the founding CEO of CHESS, a population health management company, and the former CEO of Envision Genomics, a company focused on the integration of precision medicine technology into population health frameworks for patients with rare and undiagnosed diseases. Dr. Terrell has served as vice chair of the U.S. DHHS’ Physician-Focused Payment Model Technical Advisory Committee, the chairman of the board of the AMGA, is a founding member of the Oliver Wyman Health Innovation Center, the author of Value – Based Care and Payment Models, and Reframing Contemporary Physician Leadership: We Stated as Heroes.

Prior to IKS Health, Dr. Peng served as the Executive Vice President and President of Physician and Ambulatory Service of SSM Health, a multi-state, fully integrated health system with annual revenue of $7 billion. Peng was accountable for the achievement of its six regional medical groups with 1,600 employed providers and post-acute care including ambulatory platforms. He previously worked at Sentara Healthcare in Norfolk, Va., where he served as vice president and senior medical director of Sentara Medical Group, where he oversaw the clinical operations of more than 300 primary care and ambulatory specialty providers in at least 60 sites. He also was involved in innovations around patient centered care and moved toward population health.
He has created a new business platform integrating multiple regional physician organizations with regional post-acute and ambulatory assets under a single organizational, operational and clinical structure to deliver a comprehensive system of care to achieve the ‘Quadruple Aim’.
He is a veteran in the healthcare world and a national leader in Clinical Quality, Innovation, Physician Performance and engagement demonstrating competence with board of trustees, physicians, religious sponsors, employees, community leaders and elected public officials.

Klotman’s research has been a blend of both basic and clinical research in molecular virology and AIDS pathogenesis. He developed the first small animal model of HIV associated nephropathy using transgenic techniques. He is the author of more than 200 publications, and he has been a visiting professor and lecturer internationally in the field of HIV pathogenesis. He has been elected to both the American Society of Clinical Investigation and the Association of American Physicians. He is on the editorial boards of journals both in the United States and in Europe, and he has served on and chaired numerous study sections including those from the NIH, the American Heart Association, the National Kidney Foundation, and the VA research service.
In addition to his laboratory efforts, Klotman has been an active clinician, teacher and mentor. Students from his laboratory have won prestigious scientific competitions. He has trained more than 50 clinical fellows, postdoctoral fellows, and students in his laboratory since 1984, most of whom are independently funded. And, he was named Physician of the Year by Mount Sinai nurses. As the chair of medicine, he moved the department of medicine at Mount Sinai to a top tier academic program by expanding the faculty practice, increasing basic and clinical research revenues, developing new community projects and focusing on the educational mission.
Klotman serves on the scientific advisory boards of biotech, pharmaceutical and healthcare companies. He also serves on the board of several companies including those with interests in natural resources and conservation.
At Baylor, he oversees the only private health science university in the Greater Southwest, with research funding of nearly $400 million. The medical school is ranked as one of the top 25 for research and one of the top ten for primary care by U.S. News & World Report.
